Research & Writing

Writing is my jam. It is the way I make sense of the world and of myself within it. It is the way I communicate hard things, beautiful feelings, deep thoughts, and silliness. Everything I write - from reports to proposals, applications to articles - is a chance to move and inspire folks. I've been writing since age 6 - but threw all that away so I can keep reinventing myself and the world around me.

I have done a lot of research, both on content and people. I am fast to dig my way into a topic and give you the essence of what we know about it. I am also great at interviewing people and groups and summarizing insights. I  get underneath the story so that it makes sense in context. I have done research for academics, businesses, and non-profits. I think it's important to get the picture as completely and truthfully as possible.

I'm the only person I know who loves to write reports. Research is nothing without a good, solid, readable report to make sense of it.

I put things into plain english so that you don't have to spend time translating what is written into sensible and useable information.

And I write reports that inspire change in people and organizations. It's my aim to provoke changes of heart by bringing a bunch of data together in an intelligible form. I can make recommendations or let you draw your own conclusions.

I have written reports for large corporations,  360s, conferences, federal agencies, and more.

I have so many things to say - a lot of them about  business and leadership. Ruminations, ideas, observations. Check the blogs here for my most recent musings.

My new found discovery is how much fun it is to edit the work of others. To provide critiques, suggestions, a big picture perspective. It's kind of becoming an outright hobby....

Talk to me about your research and writing projects, your dream manuscript, the book you have in you to write...

I live, work, and play on the traditional and unceded territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) Nation, who are part of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
